Webinar Answers Patient, Family Questions about Cell and Gene Therapy Clinical Trials

WASHINGTON, DC, December 10, 2019 – The Foundation for Cell & Gene Medicine, a leading cell and gene medicine education and research organization, will co-sponsor a live webinar with the Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) entitled, “Understanding Cell and Gene Therapy Clinical Trials,” at noon ET, December 12, 2019. The hour-long webinar will provide information that helps patients and their families make informed cell and gene therapy clinical trial participation decisions.  Click here to register.

Participants will learn the 20 questions they should ask before they enroll in a cell or gene medicine clinical trial, from three experts who know clinical trials. Participants will:

• Discover how cell and gene medicine clinical trials differ from traditional clinical trials;

• Learn how to find out if they’re eligible for a clinical trial and what’s important to know about informed consent; and

• Understand how to identify risks and assess realistic hope.

Speakers include Peter Marinkovich, M.D., Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Stanford Bullous Disease and Psoriasis Clinic, Stanford University; Pat Furlong, Founding President and CEO of Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy; and Joan Chambers, Senior Director of Marketing & Outreach, CISCRP.
